************************************************************************************************ Hi, there. That's right, I'm back to give you PART 2 of this fanfic that I wrote. This part is very action packed. More than the last part, anyway. There's a catch: this part has most of the AAMRN stuff in it. I'm just giving you a warning these first few times, don't get used to it ^-^. I have nothing else to say except: I hope you like it - if you don't like any of my fanfics then GET OUTTA MY WEBSITE ^-^. Oh, speaking of websites, other fic's of mine can be found at www.geocities.com/SSJ2GohanSupreme. One last note: Pokémon is a trademark of Nintendo®, Gamefreak, Creatures Inc. and 4KIDS Entertainment Productions. Enjoy. Read at your own risk ^-^. ************************************************************************************************ It was a lovely day. the birds (or whatever) were singing, pokémon were doing stuff and the sky was blue. Of course, this didn't matter one bit to Ash; he was caught in a net, decending into a pit where a proximity mine would surely mean his demise. 'I can't believe Team Rocket actually won!' he thought. Somehow, Team Rocket had devised a plan to capture Pikachu that was so ingenius, even they could not have bungled it. 'I dreamt of great heights,' Ash thought 'but now I end up in a PIT to die. ************************************************************************************************ THIS EPISODE: PERIL, PASSION AND POWER - PART 2: THE POWER OF THE HEART ************************************************************************************************ <><><> A tunnel. A deep, dark tunnel that seemed to have no end. A tunnel that happened to be in the same cave as Ash's so-called 'doomsday'. Along this tunnel walked a lone girl with her Togepi, searching for her friend, the boy named Ash. The one she loved. "Where could he be?" she said. "Toge toge." Togepi worriedly agreed. Babies aren't all senseless and stupid. 'I have to find him,' thought Misty 'If I don't, then ... I ... I ... I don't ... know ... what I'll do.' She knew in her heart that she had to find him, no matter what. <><><> It was daylight. The sun was high in the sky. Not so high in the sky, but feeling pretty high (of themselves) was Team Rocket: Jesse, James and Meowth; in thier Meowth-like Team Rocket hot air ballon. At that time, though, majority of the 'hot air' was in the basket. "Hahahaha," said James "we've finally got Pikachu, the twerp is going to have a BOOMING finish, and the other twerps wont find either of them." "This is the greatest plan we ever thought of!" said Jesse. "That's right!" said Meowth. "Hey," said James "I thought of this plan!" "There's no 'I' in Team Rocket" Jesse replied. "I guess not" James said. "Well," said Meowth "we got the Pikachu and that's all that counts." "I guess that's true." James agreed. "Yes, that IS true ..." Jesse stated. She looked at the Pikachu sitting in the glass prison (shock-proof, of course) "... and we're going to take you to the boss." "Chuuuu." replied Pikachu, knowing, by now, that his electricity would be useless to stop them. <><><> On Misty went, she figured Ash was somewhere in that cave. When she heard him talking, she knew she was right. She ran until she came upon a large cavern. She peeked out from behind a large boulder that almost blocked that entrance and there he was, tied up in a net, hanging from a rope, decending into a pit. She listened in on what he was saying. "Why did this have to happen to me," he said "Why not someone who deserves it, like Team Rocket ... or Gary!" She knew he would say something like that about his rival. He continued "... Now I can't help Pikachu, I can't live my dream of being a Pokémon master ..." The next thing he said was the one that struck her the most, "... and ... I ..." a tear fell out of his eye "will never get to tell Misty ... how I feel about her" Misty was stunned. 'What does he mean by that?' she thought. At that point, a tear fell from her eye. Then she knew what she had to do. 'I know, Polywhirl can pull him out.' she thought. She pulled out her poké-ball that contained Polywhirl and said, "Go, Polywhirl." but, of course, as usual, Psyduck came out of his poké-ball (It'd make anyone go psycho, the amount of times that happens). "PSYDUCK!" she quietly yelled (Two things that usually cross each other out - yell and quiet). Psyduck was so shocked ... it ran into a cave wall which caused a big stone to fall on it's head, giving it a headache (you'd get one, too, if a stone fell on your head). His headache got worse, actually. It got so intense, Psyduck initiated it's psychic abilities and it's eyes went blue. 'This gives me an idea.' Misty thought. "Psyduck, use your confusion to get him out of there." And that's what it did. Ash was sitting in the net, depressed, then suddenly he felt himself get thrown across the cavern. The rope snapped and he was flung to the ground beside the pit. It was a good thing the rope had snapped because Ash was free, well, sort of. He couldn't move his arms and legs, not to mention that he hurt pretty bad after being thrown onto the hard ground. Misty ran over and snapped the ropes confining Ash's movement. He was surprised, yet glad, to see her. "MISTY!" he said "Am I ever glad to see you." "I'm glad to see you, too," Misty said, releived "I can go tell Brock and Pikachu that I found you." "I already saw Pikachu ... and he's in trouble!" said Ash. "What do you mean?" asked Misty. "Team Rocket's got him!" Ash answered "They also got me, that's how I wound up in the net!" "So that's what happened to you" Misty said. "Yeah, well," Ash said "we've got to find him" said Ash. "It's a good thing I brought your backpack." Misty said. "Woah, Thanks," Ash said "I wouldn't be able to get Pikachu without it." "Uhh, you're welcome!" said Misty. Ash put on his poké-belt (the belt he puts his poké-balls on). "Let's go get Pikachu" Ash said. "Right." Misty said. After Misty picked up Togepi and got Psyduck back into it's poké-ball, they were off. <><><> They ran along the dark corridoors of the cave until suddenly, "Look up ahead," said Ash "light!" "We made it," said Misty "I thought we'd never get out of there." Then they came out of the cave. Ash was almost blinded by the sunlight, having been in a cave all night. "Now to find Pikachu." Ash said. "But how will we find Team Rocket?" asked Misty. "I don't know," said Ash as he closed his eyes and started to concentrate "I hope this works." 'What is he doing?' she thought, but before she could ask, Ash started glowing a bright yellow glow - the kind of glow Pikachu usually gets when he uses his electric powers. 'WHAT THE ...!' she thought. Ash stood there in deep concentration as, it seemed, he summoned an energy only a pokémon could possess. Suddenly he shouted as he flew his arms toward the sky. A blinding flash lit the area for a second. As soon as it disappeared, Ash was still standing there, two fingers together against his forehead. He seemed to be waiting ... waiting ... <><><> ... Somewhere, miles away in the Team Rocket balloon, Pikachu was sitting in his glass container, wondering if he'd ever see his best friend again. "Pika-pi." it quietly and sadly said. Not only was he taken from his trainer by Team Rocket, but Pikachu had to put up with all the gloating and boasting they had been doing for the last hour. Suddenly ... ping, Pikachu heard something. He also felt it, like it was an electro-static pulse. "Pikapi!" it happily said, somehow knowing what the pulse was. "What's with him?" said Meowth. "Ahh who cares," said Jesse "there's nothing he can do!" "The twerps can't stop us now!" said James. "Meowth, that's right!" said Meowth. Little did they know that the pulse came from Ash (If you haven't figured it out already). Now it was sending the location of his furry companion back to him ... <><><> PING! "There," said Ash "I've found him." "How?" asked Misty. "No time to explain," Ash said as he pulled out a poké-ball "GO, CHARIZARD!" and as Ash threw it, a flash of red came from the poké-ball and formed a large, orange, winged, dragon-like pokémon. "CHARRR!" it roared. At that point, Ash was a man with a plan like James had been earlier ,(that is if you can call either of them 'men'). Ash climbed aboard Charizard's back. "Get on, Misty!" he said. "Uhh, OK." she said as she hesitantly climbed up to where Ash was. "LET'S GO, CHARIZARD!" said Ash. Then, with a flap of his wings, Charizard lifted of the ground and shot up to the air, towards where Ash knew his pal was. <><><> And so was a battle in 'the air up there'. Team Rocket partying around, unbeknownst of what was to happen in their vicinity. That is, until Meowth spotted something out of the corner of his eye. "Hey, what's that" he said, looking towards where Ash, Misty and Charizard were. 'It can't be.' he thought. Jesse and James also looked out towards them. To be sure, Meowth took out a pair of binoculars and looked through them. "Waaah!" he said "It's dem, dey're here. Jesse looked through the binoculars. "Waah," she said "He's right! So much for your plan, James" "Just hold on a minute," James said "I said I thought of everything and I did. I have made preperations in case that kid actually DID get free." "What kinda preparations?" asked Meowth. "Well," James explained "I've been studying up on pokémon facts" "Do tell." said Jesse, curious to find out what James was blabbing on about. <><><> While James explained a bit more about his plan, Ash was prepared as well. "GO, NOCTOWL!" he said as he opened a poké-ball (not throwing it, however, he didn't want to lose it - flying did have its disadvantages). A bright red light shone and an owl came, with feathers varying from red to a golden yellow in colour. It shot towards the Team Rocket balloon on Ash's command. Was James prepared for this ... <><><> "Is that so?" asked Jesse. "Why, yes," James explained "it's amazing isn't it. "I'll say," Jesse said "it's brilliant. We'll show that twerp what we're really made of" "Speaking of the twoip," Meowth said as he looked through the binoculars "He's launched a Noctowl at us!" No sooner than he had sad that, the Noctowl, using its vast agility, shot through the balloon. It started falling. "Well, James," said Jesse "what do you plan to do now?" "Wait on a second ..." James said as he pushed a button. The punctured balloon suddenly came off and was quickly replaced with another ballon which looked exactly like the first. "... I've thought of that too." James finished. "My," said Jesse "you HAVE thought of everything. Now it's time for ME to show the twerp who he's dealing with. GO ARBOK!" Pulling out a poké-ball, Jesse summoned her Arbok that came out in a blaze of red. "CHAARRRBOK!" It said as it jumped at the Charizard that was, now, nearby. "POISON STING ATTACK!" Jesse commanded. "CHARR!" it said at it shot hundreds of poison darts at Ash. "CHARIZARD, FLAMETHROWER!" Ash ordered. "CHAR!" said Charizard said as it blew a raging flame that eradicated the darts. Arbok somehow dodged to the side, did a loop and charged at the Charizard. "What the heck?" yelled Ash "CHARIZARD, WHIP IT WITH YOUR TAIL!" At that, Charizard did a sommersault and hit the Arbok back at Team Rocket. "AHHH!" screamed Jesse as the Arbok hit her, knocking the case containing Pikachu out of the basket. "Pikapi!" Pikachu exclaimed. "SO," James said "Is that the way they want to play, eh?" He pulled out a poké-ball "GO, WEEZING, GET THE GIRL!" Out came a purple ... thing with two faces. "Wheeezing!" it said as it dived towards Misty. It must have been training it's accuracy because it hit her, fair in the forehead, knocking her out and causing her to fall off the Charizard. "MISTY!" Ash yelled as he turned to find Misty falling far below him. Ash thought fast. "Charizard, you get Pikachu!" Ash said to Charizard. "CHARR!" Charizard complied. 'Here I go' Ash thought as he jumped off the Charizard and towards his falling friend. All that was in Ash's mind at that point was saving Misty. He knew had to do it. Luckily, he knew how. He summoned his energy and a yellow aura surrounded his body as the static force allowed him to glide down and catch her ... and her Togepi, of course. Using his jacket for air resistance, he safely landed on the ground. <><><> Meanwhile, Charizard was having problems of his own. The cage containing Pikachu was falling at a fast rate, but Charizard managed to catch it in time. Too bad James had other plans. "Your plan didn't work, James!" said Jesse. "This isn't over yet!" James said as he pushed another button. Suddenly the bottom of the basket opened to reveal ... a giant magnet. Activated, it gave off a charge. <><><> Charizard landed near where Ash had moments earlier. After Ash had called back his Noctowl he grabbed the cage, but before he could open it, it started to rise toward the ballon in the sky. "Pikapi!" Pikachu said. "PIKACHU!" Ash yelled as Pikachu rose to the air and stuck to the giant magnet on the bottom of the Team Rocket balloon basket. "CHARIZARD GET THAT BASKET!" "CHAR" Charizard roared as it shot up to the sky. Meanwhile ... "What did I tell you?" James said. "Is there anything you haven't thought of?" asked Meowth. "Probably not." James answered Much to James' plotting, his plan would soon crumble. Suddenly Charizard came out of nowhere and grabbed the balloon basket. "What the ..." James screamed. Luckily for Pikachu, the container fell off; it wouldn't have wanted to take part in what happened next. "CHARIZARD, SEISMIC TOSS!" Ash yelled. At that, the Charizard looped around in a vertical circle. The power was so great, the bottom of the basket ripped and Team Rocket was sent flying. "LOOKS LIKE TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" They screamed. ... ding ... Ash ran as fast as he could and, with as much accuracy as he could possibly get, jumped up to catch his Pikachu. With a surge of power, Ash smashed the prison and his furry poké-pal was free. "Pikapika!" Pikachu said, happy to be re-united with it's trainer. "I'm glad your safe, Pikachu." Ash said. "Chaaa." Pikachu replied. Then Charizard came down to land, flapping up dust and debris with the power of it's wings. "Good Job, Charizard!" Ash said "You fought well and saved Pikachu." It snorted in acknowledgement and gave Ash the big thumb. "Return!" Ash said as he returned the ferocious Charizard to the confinement of it's poké-ball in a dazzling display of shining red light. Ash ran over to where Misty lay unconcious. "Misty," Ash said as he tried to wake her up "are you Ok?" Soon, Misty finally opened her eyes. Weakly she said "Ash," she groaned "I'm Ok. My head IS sore, though" Ash helped her get back to her feet. "I see you saved Pikachu." Misty said. "Oh, uh, yeah." Ash replied "Well, we better get back to ..." he remembered something "Oh, shit, we still have to find Brock!" "Oh, yeah!" Misty said, also remembering. "Let's go." Ash said. "WAIT!!" Misty shouted. "What?" Ash asked. "Uhh," Misty said "well, I have to ask you something." "Go ahead." Ash said. "Well," Misty asked "You know what you said in that cave?" Ash became slightly nervous. "Oh," he said "you heard that, huh?" "Yeah, well," Misty went on "what did you mean by that?" Ash could deny it no longer. This was the time he HAD to confess his love to her. Then, he thought, would probably be his last chance. "Well," he said "The truth is..." He looked into her eyes. He knew that if he didn't tell her now, it would brake her heart forever. 'It's now or never, Ash!" he thought. "I ... I ..." He gulped "I ... love ... you." He'd finally done it. Something most guys would be too gutless to do. Misty stood with eyes wide open. She was speechless. Then a tear came from her eye as her mouth seemed to forge itself into a short smile. She could hardly beleive that he had said what he did. Finally she opened her mouth to speak, "I ... love you, too." she quietly said. Then they just stared into each others eyes for half a minute. Then they went into a warm embrace with each other and kissed. It was a passionate kiss, too passionate to measure. Pikachu just stood there gazing happily (it was a nice atmosphere) and Togepi did, also. "Pikapi." said Pikachu. "Togetogeprrrriiii." said Togepi in joy. Finally they let it go. They just stood there holding each other and staring into each others eyes until Ash said, "I guess we'll have to find Brock." "Yeah, you're right." Misty agreed. After they let go of each other, they picked up their pokémon and searched for Brock. <><><> Through the forest they went, looking for their other friend. The searched for hours, calling his name. When the sun set, they decided that they would rest until the next morning. Luckily, they had made it to the next town. "Where do you think Brock is?" Ash asked as the sat on a couch in the Pokémon Center. "I don't know." Misty replied. Ash heard the doors open behind him. "AHA!!" came a voice, a familiar voice. Ash and Misty turned around to find Brock standing at the entrance. He wasn't too happy either. "Hey, Brock," Ash said a little anxiously "we were looking for you." "Well what a coincidence," Brock stated, a bit peeved "I was looking for you, too. Do you know what I had to go through. What happened to the signal, Misty." Misty said "Uhh, well, I uhhh..." Ash stepped in "You wouldn't believe us if we told you." "Try me!" Brock said, annoyed. "OK," Ash explained "Team Rocket caught Pikachu." Brock thought about it for a second. "Hmmm, you're right," he said "I DON'T believe it." He sat down beside them. "What happened to you, Ash" he asked. "They got me, too" Ash said. "I can't believe that, either" Brock said. "Well, it IS unbeleivable, but true." Ash said. "If you say so." Brock replied. "Yeah, well..." Ash thought of a plan "HEY, isn't that Nurse Joy." "Where, where?" Brock said as he looked around the center. He decided to go and find the 'delightful', as he called her, Nurse Joy. "Why did you have to go and do that?" Misty asked annoyed. "Well," Ash answered "he's not getting in the way and we're not doing anything." he held Misty's hand "You don't mind, do you?" When she realised what he meant, Misty said, "Well, come to think of it, I don't, actually." Then they held each other and kissed again. Everything was right for them at that moment. They had each other and that was all that mattered. Even becoming a pokémon master was less important to Ash. Then they let go and just sat there holding each other. "I guess good things can come from the bad." said Misty. "How so?" Ash asked. "Well," Misty explained "If you hadn't been in that cave, we wouldn't be together like this." "Hey, you're right," Ash said "I guess we'll have to thank Team Rocket, sometime." "What ever happened to Team Rocket?" Misty asked. "I don't know, but they'll probably be back." Ash answered. That was a good question, what DID happen to Team Rocket ... <><><> Somewhere in a forest, Team Rocket was re-cooperating from their earlier faliure. "Hmph," Jesse said "what happened to your 'foolproof plan', huh James?" "Yeah," said Meowth "you screwed up big time!" "Well," James said "I don't see you coming up with good plans!" "I've come up with heaps of them." Meowth stated. "None of THEM have worked, either!" Jesse exclaimed. "Well," James stated "we got close to catching that Pikachu and giving him to the boss. We've just got to think of a plan that's Charizard-proof." "That's gonna take some thinkin' alright." said Meowth. "You know," Jesse said "we only said the motto once." "That's right." said James. "Eh," said Meowth "once is too much, I reckon." SMACK!!! Jesse and James both smashed Meowth in the head. "How would you know?" James angrily said. "Our motto is important and very necessary, you idiotic feline." "Uhhh," Meowth weakly said "maybe once or twice aint too bad." <><><> At the pokémon center, Ash and Misty were still holding each other. "Uhh, Ash," Misty said "There's something I've been meaning to ask you." "Yeah, Misty?" Ash said. "Well," Misty asked "what happened to you?" "What do you mean?" Ash asked back. "Well," Misty explained "the way you found Pikachu, you were glowing yellow. Why was that?" "Uhhh," Ash said, trying to find a logical explanation, he didn't understand it that much, either "I don't know. It just came to me some time ago. I guess it's because I've been shocked so many times, but I'm not sure." "Oh." Misty replied. Well Team Rocket was defeated again, Brock was having troubles with a certain Nurse Joy, as usual, Ash and Misty finally confessed to each other (It was bound to happen) and Pikachu learned to play the violin (just kidding). But now Ash had somehow tapped into a power that could possibly surpass the power of his Pikachu. How did he get this power and what would he use it for. What would happen when Team Rocket found out that he had a power greater than the Pikachu they had been trying to capture. Would Pikachu REALLY try to learn to play the fiddle. ... All this and more in episodes to come (possibly). THE END ************************************************************************************************ Well there it is, the story is finally finished. What did you think. It's longer than the last part. That's because it has the ACTION YEAH!! It also has the AAMRN stuff in it, too (I warned you ^-^). Here is some things I want to point out: 1: You know that part about the poké-belt '(the belt he puts his poké-balls on)', well, I don't mean THOSE balls (I may have a sick mind, but I have my limits ^-^). 2: The part about Ash and James not being men, well, Ash is too young to be a man, he's a boy. As for James, well, I'm not sure. In the show, he's been seen in women's clothing many times which makes me believe that he's gay or a cross-dresser. But then, women's clothing doesn't necessarily make you a woman, or does it? YOU DECIDE! 3: Ash IS older than Misty (in THIS fic, anyway). He's as tall as her, at least, if not taller - this made it easier to comprehend the love thing. If you see things differently, then tell me. 4: Ash has somehow got powerful all of a sudden. Want to know where it takes him? Well, I might make a series about it so you can look forward to it. Watch out though, not even I know what to expect from it (or even if I could be bothered making it ^-^). Well whatever views you have on THIS fic (or any other of my fics for that matter), write to me at coramaximus@hotmail.com and I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have (if I'm in a happy mood that is). Smell you later. © 2002 By CORAMAXIMUS.
